1 · Controller

Nathaniel Stott, Hauptstraße 38, 58313 Herdecke, Germany — see imprint. After registration, the association, represented by its board, takes this position.

2 · What happens when you simply visit

When you open the site your browser transmits technically necessary data to the host's server: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the volume of data transferred, and browser and operating-system identifiers. These server log files serve secure operation and are deleted after a short period. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a functioning, secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3 · What this site expressly does not do

  • No fonts from third-party servers. The typefaces Anton and Archivo sit on the same server as the site. No connection to Google Fonts or comparable services is made.
  • No analytics, no tracking. Neither audience measurement nor statistics tools.
  • No advertising or marketing cookies. The theme sets no cookies of its own. WordPress sets cookies only when logging in to the admin area and when commenting.
  • No embedded videos or maps from third parties.
  • The light/dark preference is stored only in your own browser (local storage) and is never transmitted to us.

4 · Signing up for the founding and membership

If you use the form on the join page, or email us, we process the details you provide: first name and surname, email address, optionally a phone number and your note.

  • Purpose: contacting you in preparation for founding the association, inviting you to the founding assembly, later membership administration.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), withdrawable informally at any time; after joining, the membership itself (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Recipients: none. Nothing is passed to third parties, no external newsletter service.
  • Deletion: when you withdraw, when you do not join, or if the project does not come about.
  • Technically: the form emails your details to kontakt@livemusik-herdecke.org and an automatic receipt to the address you entered. Nothing is stored on the server. Against automated bulk submissions we use a hidden field, a signed timestamp, a script token and a limit of three submissions per ten minutes; for that, a non-reversible hash of your IP address is kept for ten minutes, never the address itself (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No cookies, no third-party services.

5 · Enquiries from musicians and bands

If you write to us about playing or about support as a young band, we store what you send — act name, contact details, routing, line-up size and your listening link — in order to answer you and, later, to plan a calendar. We do not publish any of it without your separate, express consent: text, photograph and the photographer's rights are each agreed individually. For minors we obtain the consent of a parent or guardian.

6 · Hosting

The site is operated by a service provider in Germany, with a data-processing agreement in place under Art. 28 GDPR. [Provider and contract status to be entered.]

7 · Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority; in North Rhine-Westphalia this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information NRW.

An email to kontakt@livemusik-herdecke.org is enough for any of this.

8 · Use of AI

Text on this website was partly drafted with the help of an AI system and reviewed editorially. No automated decision-making about individuals takes place, and no personal data from the form is transmitted to AI services.
